King goes Green at Badminton!
If you were glued
to your TV screen for BBC’s coverage of Badminton
Horse Trials (or even better, if you were there in
person), you may have noticed that top British event
rider Mary King has gone green!
No, we don’t
mean she was feeling under the weather (though with
the size of those cross country jumps on Saturday,
we would have been rather green before setting out!),
or that she has developed a solar powered horse box.
Mary’s gone green
in a much more equestrian way, having been spotted
riding in a saddle with a green leather seat, to match
her cross country colours!
The saddle was Mary’s
brand new Barnsby Xtreem Event saddle, custom made
for Mary and her horses and of which she said “this
saddle is fantastic - I would not want to go cross
country in anything else. It’s extremely lightweight,
very comfortable for both horse and rider and features
a good, flat cantle which is ideal for cross-country
riding.
The fact that it could
be made for me in green was just a huge bonus!"
