| The Pegasus team will
come to your yard and you can be ready to take the
test in the time it takes you to tack up. They mount
sensor modules on your horse’s own brushing
boots and a GPS module on your cap. These are linked
to a laptop which analyses the data. The test usually
takes about 45 minutes, which includes 20 minutes
riding time. The Pegasus equine professional will
give you a complete report on the day, explain your
analysis and develop a future work programme for you
to discuss with your trainer or vet.
If you are part of a school, Pegasus can arrange
to test a group of horses on the same day, which will
make the test more cost-effective for all of you.
Pegasus is also a useful tool in monitoring a horse’s
recovery and to carry out a pre-purchase performance
check.
