As the
ambient temperature falls to six degrees
centigrade and below, pasture stops growing
altogether and winter pastures are therefore
not nutritious. Even though the paddocks
may look covered in grass there is little
feed value in it.
This means that the horses’ energy
intake from pasture falls as the temperature
drops and at this time they may lose weight
quickly, as more energy is also needed
to maintain body temperature.
Horses therefore miss out on the natural
goodness of nutritious grass over the
winter months. Feeding Graze-On will ensure
horses are maintained on a high fibre
diet and benefit from the natural goodness
of nutritious grass.
Graze-On is quickly dried grass and in
addition to supplying calories through
quality fibre, it also supplies valuable
nutrients including essential amino acids
and valuable antioxidants not present
in hay.
Graze-On is harvested at the optimum stage
of growth for best nutritional quality
resulting in a highly nutritious, natural
feed. For horses and ponies that are good
doers a dried grass/straw chaff mix such
as Graze-On Gold Blend may be preferred.
RRP is around £7.50 for a 15kg bag
of Graze-On and £5.75 for a 12.5kg
bag of Graze-On Gold Blend.
