BHS Training Manual for Progressive Riding Tests 1-6

Progressive Riding Tests, the proficiency tests offered by British Horse Society Approved riding establishments, are for clients who are interested in working towards a certificate which demonstrates their competence at various levels in riding and stable management, and they are increasingly popular.

Each test is divide into riding (equitation) and stable management, so that the sucjects can be studied separately.

The BHS is emphasising that this new training manual is the only official guide to the Progressive Riding Tests. As an essential course companion it:
Describes the PRT syllabi in depth
Defines what the examiner will be looking for in a competent candidate
Describes how and where that competence can be acheived
Shows,in short, how to be successful in the Tests

The author,Islay Auty, is a Fellow of the British Horse Society, a chief examiner, and former Chairman of BHS Training and Education. She is also a coach, dressage judge and competitor. A freelance instructor, she has over twenty years' experience of training career students and competition partnerships, and teaches both in the UK and overseas.
