Straw has suffered many misconceptions in the past,
however with technological advances and the increasing
cost of shavings, chopped straw is now favoured by
many horse owners. Over the past five years Nedz Bed
has pioneered the chopped straw bedding market and
having now established three highly successful and
popular bedding products they truly offer bedding
for every eventuality.
Nedz Bed products are highly biodegradable taking
on average two to three months to rot down –
rather than two to three years in the case of wood
based products. Offering a comfortable, virtually
dust free environment for your horse, both Nedz Original
and Nedz Pro are treated with a unique formula to
offer additional benefits such as anti-bacterial,
anti-fungal and anti-insecticidal properties. As well
as discouraging bed eating and offering a fresh odour
for you and your horse to spend time in.
Nedz Original uses Wheat Straw which is readily available
and has vastly improved over the years. A soft and
traditional bedding, Nedz Original works best when
mucked out daily.
Nedz Pro uses Oilseed Rape Straw – a very popular
choice now due to its high absorbency and ease of
use. Nedz Pro works best when deep littered –
making it a quick and economical solution to bedding.
Nedz Advance is the first of its kind – providing
a revolutionary product to bed your horse on. Manufactured
from extremely absorbent, high quality, chopped straw
which is then sterilized and treated to control moulds
and spores, Nedz Advance offers a healthy environment
for your horse as well as discouraging bed eating.
This pelleted bedding increases in volume as your
horse is stabled on it and is capable of absorbing
five times its weight in liquid. On top of this, the
pellets will rot down within one month meaning waste
removal costs are kept to a minimum and muck heaps
will be smaller in size. Available in 15kg bags.
