The growing company has spent months working behind
the scenes in association with their worldwide contacts
to bring the UK a brand new revolution in equine bedding,
Nedz Advance.
Nedz Advance remains in keeping with
the popular Nedz Original and Nedz Pro – and is manufactured
from high quality straw. The straw is chopped and ground
to produce very short, highly absorbent fibres which
are sterilized using steam and treated to control moulds
and spores, before being pressed in to a pellet and
packaged. This not only creates a healthy environment
for your horse by removing fine particles and dust to
create a virtually dust free stable - but the treatment
also discourages bed eating.
Nedz Advance increases in volume as
your horse is stabled on it, and creates a comfortable,
sturdy base which is capable of absorbing five times
its weight in liquid, meaning wet patches are kept to
a minimum and ammonia levels virtually non-existent.
The straw pellets will rot down within one month which
leads to less waste – on average a 60% to 70% reduction
will be seen over conventional bedding – meaning waste
removal costs are kept to a minimum and muck heaps will
be smaller in size.
In an average 12ft x 12ft stable six
to eight bags of Nedz Advance will be needed to set
up the initial bed, the muck and wet patches should
then be removed daily, but the bed should not be turned
over, and water should not be added. Depending on usage
a new bag will be required every three to five days.
Nedz Advance can also be mixed with the existing products
within the range to create a superior, even more absorbent
product.
Nedz Advance will be available in 15kg
bags from February onwards.
