This easy to use system is designed to do the same AND MORE as soaking hay,
without the inconvenience of dustbins full of
waste water* and heavy, wet haynets to hang
up! Bacteria, fungal spores and dust mites are
not killed by simply soaking hay in cold water,
leaving our horses exposed to many possible
sources of infection. At the same time, soaking
hay leads to vital minerals being leached out
and lost, which must be supplemented back into
our horses’ diets at considerable expense.
Designed to be easy to use and maintain, each
Hay Steamer system introduces steam to the hay
to penetrate at approximately 100 degrees centigrade.
Steaming at these temperatures ensures that
the majority of fungal spores, bacteria and
dust mites are killed off and all potentially
airborne dust particles are sufficiently dampened
down and neutralized. The hay is then lush and
ready for your horse to enjoy, complete with
all its vital minerals.
A number of Hay Steamer product options are
available, so you can choose the option that
suits you and your horses the best.
The Traveller Steamer is ideal
for those with just one or two horses, or in
situations where power is unavailable on the
stable yard, as it allows haynets to be steamed
at home and the resultant fresh hay is easily
transported to your yard, as and when you need
it.
The Hobby Plus Steamer can
steam 2 haynets at a time, or can steam loose
hay and is ideal for those with one or two horses
where power is available at the stable yard.
Coming soon is the new, all-in-one Professional
Hay Steamer system, which has a large capacity
hay steam chamber and can steam up to one whole
small bale at a time. The steaming process takes
only about 40 minutes (depending on your hay
type and quality) and with timer units available
for all models you can set your steamer to have
your horse’s hay ready and waiting for
when you arrive at the yard.
